This study programme is a two-year course and is equivalent to three A Levels. It consists of seven mandatory units and four optional units, the content of which has been designed to ensure it supports students with a keen interest in working within either a health 和 social care field or within the Psychology sector. It has been designed to support learners progression to higher education & employment.
This course aims to motivate learners who are considering a career within Psychology/Health and Social Care, or a related sector. This is done by providing learners with knowledge and understanding of different Psychology and health and social care approaches & research methodology. Learners will also be expected to use a synoptic approach when undertaking their internal assessments which will develop skills of investigation, problem-solving, analysis and creative development. Learners will learn key studies and theories within Psychology and health and social care 和 will be required to demonstrate their knowledge through application to real life scenarios as well as case studies.
